We were invited to participate, virtually, in the "1st COP Workshop 2022" for Small and Medium Enterprises of the Argentine Network of the Global Compact on the new Communication on Progress (COP).
In January 2023, the new progress communication policy will come into force, which will consist of a questionnaire containing questions on company actions related to the Ten Principles and the SDGs, structured into five main sections: governance, human rights, labor standards, the environment and the fight against corruption to be completed on the United Nations Global Compact website. The workshop addressed the value proposition of the new COP, the main changes, requirements, characteristics and structure of the questionnaire. Likewise, practical guidelines were provided to begin planning the response process to the new Communication on Progress and information on resources and tools to support SMEs in this process. In the second part of the workshop, a representative of the EXO company that participated in the Early Adoption Program, commented on her experience in adopting the new COP questionnaire, sharing difficulties, lessons learned, and suggestions to those companies that will do so for the first time in 2023.
