For two decades, the United Nations Global Compact has engaged companies from around the world to inspire principled and sustainable business.
Officially launched on July 26, 2000 by former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, the UN Global Compact was initiated to unite business and the United Nations to give a human face to the global marketplace. When companies come together, they can be a powerful force for good by upholding universal principles in the areas of human rights, labor, the environment, and anti-corruption. Through different local networks and more than 11,183 companies in 156 countries, the United Nations Global Compact is bringing corporate sustainability from the periphery to the mainstream and uniting businesses for a better world. DACTA has been a signatory to the Global Compact since 2015.
